Important OryxJackpot Announcement

First though, some OryxJackpot history and the motivation behind this announcement.

It has been four years since the idea of a Realm of the Mad God gambling service was conceived by me. I started to learn all of the technologies required in order to create this website. The very first players may remember how OryxJackpot looked and operated at first. With those players’ feedback, I continued to learn more technology and techniques in order to make OryxJackpot better. I would like to give special thanks to all of my users for playing on OryxJackpot. Throughout the past four years I have met users that have shown incredible support and investment to OryxJackpot. I owe a lot of my experience and success to OryxJackpot, and this would not be the case had it not been for those users that were there for me, even if they did not know that they were there for me. The fact that some users tried out OryxJackpot despite knowing it has been solely made and developed by me -- Rotmg Troller -- is proof to me that there are users that have placed a lot of trust in me and in my passion for OryxJackpot. Four years is a long time, and not a lot of RotMG services can claim that they have been operating for that long. We should be very proud of that.

With all of that said, over the past few years I have been doing a lot of soul-searching and introspection. In relation to Realm of the Mad God, I have been a player for about ten years now, a content creator for almost eight years, and a site developer and maintainer for about four years now. Countless memories and good experiences were born and fostered on Realm of the Mad God, and I will cherish all of those for probably my entire life. I have decided that I want to start working on new projects, enjoy new experiences, and find a new passion. As I plan out my future, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that anything Realm of the Mad God related will no longer be a part of my life after the next few months.

Effective Dec 30th 2021, I will be discontinuing the OryxJackpot site and service. Until then, the site will be in an evacuation phase effective immediately. Here is what will happen until service termination date:

Here I will outline what will happen on the service termination date, and afterwards:

I would like to thank you all again for playing on OryxJackpot. I have overcome a lot of obstacles and personal growth to get to this point. Although you may be saddened by these news, as I am too, we should instead be proud that we have been operational for at least four years, and be excited to tackle new ambitions that life has to offer. Life is too short to waste it all away on a 2010 Flash game, take it from me. I hope that you all live a good life and enjoy what comes next when the time comes for you to leave Realm of the Mad God too. My time on Realm of the Mad God has been nothing but phenomenal, and I am very fortunate to have so many RotMG players care about me. I hope that you will continue to support me and my future endeavors should you become aware of them. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

F.A.Q.

Q: What will happen to your YouTube channel?
A: Season 8 will be my final season. There will be no more content posted on it after the season concludes. If this is news to you then please watch the video titled "Legend of the Mad God"

Q: What will happen to your Discord account?
A: It will not be deactivated, but just like how it currently is, communication to me will be restricted.

Q: What can I do if I have items on OryxJackpot, but I am currently banned?
A: You should submit a ban appeal ASAP. I will be a lot more lenient on processing unban requests now. However, in exchange for your unban, I reserve the right to confiscate any or all items in your OryxJackpot inventory. For example, if you have been permanently banned, then I may agree to unban you but 50% of your inventory will be confiscated (this is strictly an example, and should not be your expectation). We handle all unban requests on a case-by-case basis, so you should submit a ban appeal ticket ASAP.
If you have already submitted a ban appeal but you have been rejected and told to wait until a date past the service termination date, then you are now allowed to submit a new ban appeal as soon as possible.

Q: I have a ton of items on OryxJackpot and I do not think I can withdraw them all before the site terminates. What can I do?
A: To be clear, users will not be permitted to keep withdrawal mules past the shutdown date (unless it was before 2020). If you wish to secure your RotMG items (I encourage you to do that), you should start making your own RotMG mule accounts and start withdrawing and trading the items over to your own personal RotMG accounts. I will also be selling extended access to mule accounts at the rate of 4KK (or $0.04) per mule account. This means that you will be allowed to pay to keep access to certain OryxJackpot mule accounts for an extended period to give you more time and convenience to withdraw them at your own pace.
I say “extended” and not “permanent” because eventually I will stop renewing the domains which the RotMG mules are registered under, so when that happens the mule accounts would no longer be secure since someone else can buy those domains. I plan to keep ownership of these domains for at least the entirety of 2022 though, so that should be ample time for you to withdraw these items should you decide to pay for extended access.
If you wish to purchase extended access for certain OryxJackpot mules that you have withdrawn, please open a General Inquiry ticket. I will walk you through the process and answer any remaining questions that you may have about this specific service.

Q: I could not withdraw all of my items in time before the site terminated. What now?
A: I understand that the time between this announcement and the site termination date is not long. Some users may become aware of the shutdown after the fact. Or even if they were aware, there were simply too many items to withdraw in time (some users carry more than 5000 items on OryxJackpot).
If there are items on your OryxJackpot account that you would like to withdraw post-discontinuation. Please email me at oryxjackpot777[at]gmail[dot]com, I will ask you to prove your RotMG identity to me first so that I know who you were on OryxJackpot. After identity verification, I will let you know what items you have in your inventory and then you can let me know what you would like to withdraw. I will let you know the final withdrawal details so that you can confirm it before it is finalized, such as reviewing the items you will be withdrawing, and agreement to forfeit the rest of the items that you decided to not withdraw with this service.
Important note: some items will not be guaranteed to be withdrawable post-shutdown. This is a courtesy service that I am providing to make the process of withdrawing the most fair and forgiving should you not have the time to process it before the shutdown.
I will be charging users that would like to take advantage of this service to somewhat dissuade users from using this service.
You will be charged with the same 4KK (or $0.04) fee for the extended access for each mule given to you. In addition, there will be an extra surcharge which will be the lower of the two prices to be added to the total withdrawal fee: This means the price of each mule should range between $0.05 to $0.08 for using this courtesy service. Also, this would be a one-time-per-user service. If you decide to make use of this service, all other items that you decide to not withdraw will be forfeit to me.
This courtesy service will be provided starting early Jan 2022, and until April 2022, exact dates pending. After which, all items that are still in users’ inventories will be completely forfeit to me.

Post-discontinuation edit: the deadline to submit your initial emails is April 30th 2022. After that, the new deadline to complete any extended mule access purchases is May 3rd 2022. This service is ONLY for withdrawing items that are still in your account's inventory. This is NOT for purchasing extended access to specific mule accounts, or for regaining access to previously-withdrawn accounts that were in your possession up until the site termination. We will not answer to any emails that inquires about purchasing access to specific mule accounts.

Q: I purchased some goods right before the announcement, can I have a refund?
A: All KK purchases, including everything that you bought with KK, are final. The only exception is if you bought a profile picture, chat color, or win sound effect within a week before this announcement. If that exception applies to you, then you might qualify for a KK-only refund. Please open a Purchase Issues ticket to see if you qualify. If you purchased a rank before it has been entirely used up before this announcement, then you may qualify for a partial if not full refund. Please open a Purchase Issues ticket to see if you qualify.
For any purchased goods that I might have forgotten to mention, please open a Purchase Issues ticket to inquire if you are eligible for a refund.
Please submit all refund requests before the service termination date. After that date, we will no longer be able to accept new refund requests, and will instead be processing the ones that have been already submitted.

Q: What if I am not able to prove my RotMG identity now or in the future?
A: If the RotMG account that is currently connected to your OryxJackpot account is no longer available for any reason, please contact me ASAP by emailing me at oryxjackpot777[at]gmail[dot]com. This is if you want to login to your OryxJackpot account but no longer have access to it, or if you want to make use of the courtesy withdrawal service in the future.
In general: If your RotMG account has been banned, then it is easy for us to prove your identity without compromising your confidentiality. If you have changed your RotMG IGN, then it will also be easy for us to prove your identity. However, if you have lost or sold your RotMG account, then it will be difficult to prove your RotMG identity.

Q: What will happen to my data?
A: Rest assured, I have absolutely zero need to keep your data after the shutdown. If you have absolutely nothing left in your inventory, your data will be deleted in Jan 2022. Otherwise, to make sure we can provide our courtesy post-shutdown withdrawal service to you, we will retain your data until the termination of the courtesy service, your data will be deleted shortly afterwards. We do not have any personally identifiable information on you as well, except if given to us by PayPal when you purchase goods (this only includes your name, email address, and rough geographical location). Our selly.gg account, our Paypal account, and our OryxJackpot emails (although probably not the email account itself) will be deleted mid-2022, so any other extra data we have on you will be deleted too. Your data will not be given or sold to any person or company. If you are worried about your data at all, please email me at oryxjackpot777[at]gmail[dot]com or open a General Inquiry ticket so I can alleviate your worries.

Q: Can I keep mules that were withdrawn before 2020?
A: Only until the domains are no longer renewed by me, then they are no longer my responsibility to keep secure for you. A way to think about it is that you have extended access on those mule accounts for free.

Q: Why not sell OryxJackpot to someone else? Or transfer ownership to someone else?
A: I am not comfortable with doing this. Sorry to say.

Q: What are you going to be doing with all of the items you have amassed?
A: As mentioned earlier, I will be doing item blowout sales during the evacuation phase. Aside from that, I plan to give away a lot of items to OryxJackpot users. I will be giving pity items to the players that are in a large net loss in terms of OryxJackpot profit. I will also be giving away items randomly to OryxJackpot users somehow. Perhaps a giveaway on YouTube as well. Aside from the aforementioned uses, I don’t know. Probably nothing with the items.

Q: Why take withdrawn mules back in the first place if you’re hard quitting RotMG? Why not just let us keep them?
A: Yoink.

Q: You can finally share with us, was OryxJackpot ever rigged?
A: Nope, never. The ONLY thing that may constitute “rigging” was an accidental bug with calculating winners in Coinflip. Needless to say, the bug was fixed.

Q: Tell us, how much money did you make from OryxJackpot?
A: I will not answer this, sorry.

Q: Let’s be real, you didn’t actually make this website yourself, did you?
A: I did.

Q: Can you divulge us in any future projects that you will be working on?
A: Unfortunately not.

Q: So this is it?
A: This is it.

Q: Are you sure?
A: I am sure.
